This guy won't be fired or punished, only investigated. Because if he was, that would be racist.

He's currently on paid leave. I believe he will ultimately be terminated from his employment for the simple reason that this story has grown too large. DHS will be forced to fire him or face not only public outcry but also a continued rise in the public distrust for this agency.
