I never understood how the 68 GCA passed muster in the courts, with it's "Sporting Purpose" exception. I knew even then that the 2nd Amendment was not for sporting purposes, but that seemed to be a carrot to entice hunters to go along with the law. Somehow they duped a large segment of gun owners into believing that the 2nd Amendment was for deer rifles.

In fact I recall some major hunting mags even supported gun control for non-sporting weapons like "Saturday Night Specials." I wrote scathing letters to the editor of those mags and dropped my subscriptions.

I had forgotten about the Saturday Night Special being all over the news. That same time in history would play out much differently with social media in place.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end!
