A "COTEP Moment" happened at the range while I was celebrating my birthday.

A friend of my wife's who has a Beretta PX4 but has never fired it, in fact has never fired a gun of any kind, and her husband went with us to the range to help us "celebrate".

I got her familiarized with the Beretta as well as I could. Her thumb won't reach the safety, and she doesn't have enough arm strength to load the mag to capacity. And to top it off, she could not hit a plate on the plate rack to save her life.

Sooooo....

I handed her my DW Panther and said "Try this."

WHAM! Instant enlightement!

She started nailing the plates one after another. In fact, I think she only missed one time.
